Sophie Seddon-Hall

Regional Chair | Non-Executive Director & Shareholder, JSSH / Novus Property Solutions Ltd

Sophie began her career in marketing, pivoting the successful rebranding from Seddon to Novus and earning "Highly Commended Young Marketer of the Year" at the CMAs. Throughout her career, she has overseen marketing, HR, corporate responsibility, and customer relations.

As a Non-Executive Director, she ensures strategic alignment with diversity, sustainability, and positive community impact. Sophie is also the Chair for BITC NW and a board trustee for the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB). She is fiercely committed to advancing Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI), transforming workplace culture, and driving industry innovation.

Committee Member | Managing Director, Design and Build UK

An award-winning entrepreneur, property developer, and BBC’s The Apprentice finalist, Michaela has built a powerful portfolio of businesses spanning construction marketing, utilities, and facilities management. With over 15 years of industry experience, she is the founder of the UK’s first Women in Construction Awards. She is a highly respected keynote speaker and media commentator dedicated to building inclusive career pathways and challenging traditional industry perceptions.

Kirsty Collin

Committee Member | Global Head of CRM, Gleeds

Kirsty brings over 20 years of experience spanning project delivery, client feedback, and large-scale culture change. Half of her global role is dedicated to leading the Women at Gleeds gender allies network. She brings a pragmatic, evidence-led perspective to inclusion, informed by deep client-side insights and a passion for moving beyond good intentions into practical, everyday action.

Rochelle Wright

Committee Member | Electrician, PPS Electrical

Rochelle is a qualified electrician who successfully retrained at 27, moving from childcare onto active construction sites. Working on site day-to-day gives her a real, first-hand understanding of site culture. Rochelle is deeply committed to driving meaningful, practical diversity changes on site rather than just "policies on paper," and is developing a platform to better capture and understand workforce experiences.

Committee Member | Chief Executive Officer, Construction Resources Ltd

Claire brings over 20 years of recruitment expertise within the construction sector. As CEO, she drives the mission for a more inclusive, skilled, and sustainable built environment workforce. She is also the founder of Inspire, Train, Grow (a CIC dedicated to creating apprenticeship pathways for all ages), and is deeply passionate about breaking down industry barriers.

Donna is highly passionate about workplace mentoring, helping individuals develop their confidence, capability, and career direction.

Beginning her career at 17 as a trainee architectural technician, Kelly brings nearly three decades of construction industry experience. At Wates Smartspace, she is recognised for leading with clarity and collaboration. She is deeply committed to mentoring, driving female representation, and empowering women across the region to help shape the next generation of industry leaders.

Rachel leads Marketing, Communications, and Social Value, focusing on using construction as a platform to create real social impact. She is passionate about breaking down outdated industry perceptions and actively works with schools to deliver the Girls in Construction programme, alongside supporting the Save Construction Initiative.
