These Terms of Use govern your use of the Women in Construction Hub (“WIC Hub”, “we”, “us” or “our”) website, community platform and associated online services.
WIC Hub is currently treated as being operated by EDI IN COMMUNITY INTEREST COMPANY.
By accessing or using WIC Hub, you agree to these Terms of Use. Separate Membership Terms & Conditions apply to paid WIC Hub memberships.
1. About WIC Hub
WIC Hub is a professional membership and community platform designed to connect, support and create opportunities for women working in and around the construction industry.
The platform may provide access to features including member profiles, regional communities, events, mentorship, messaging, resources, partner benefits and other professional networking opportunities.
We may develop, change or discontinue particular features as WIC Hub evolves.
2. Using the Website
You may use the public areas of the WIC Hub website for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
Certain areas and features are available only to registered users or active members.
You must not use WIC Hub:
- for unlawful, fraudulent or misleading purposes;
- to harm, threaten, harass or discriminate against another person;
- to impersonate another person or organisation;
- to distribute spam or unsolicited promotional material;
- to introduce malicious software or interfere with the operation or security of the website;
- to attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems or restricted areas;
- to collect or scrape member information without permission; or
- in any way that could damage WIC Hub, its members or its reputation.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for providing accurate information when creating and maintaining your account.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity carried out through your account.
Accounts are personal to the registered user and should not be shared with another person.
If you believe someone has gained unauthorised access to your account, please contact us promptly at hello@wichub.co.uk.
4. Member Profiles
Members may be able to create professional profiles containing information such as their role, region, experience, specialisms, biography and mentorship preferences.
You are responsible for the information you choose to publish through your profile.
You must not knowingly provide false or misleading information or publish information that infringes another person's rights.
Some profile information may be visible to other authorised WIC Hub members.

5. Community Standards
WIC Hub is intended to provide a professional, supportive and inclusive community.
When interacting with other members, you are expected to communicate respectfully and professionally.
We do not tolerate behaviour including:
- harassment, bullying or intimidation;
- discrimination or abusive behaviour;
- threatening or deliberately harmful communications;
- sexual harassment or inappropriate conduct;
- hate speech;
- deliberate misinformation or impersonation;
- spam or persistent unsolicited promotion;
- misuse of another member's personal information; or
- conduct that creates an unsafe or seriously disruptive community environment.
Differences of professional opinion and respectful debate are permitted. These standards are intended to protect members, not prevent legitimate discussion.
6. Regional Communities
WIC Hub operates regional communities or “Hubs”.
Access to a regional community may depend on your membership status and the region or regions associated with your membership.
Regional Chairs or other authorised organisers may help administer regional communities and support their members.
Being a regional Chair or community administrator does not give that person unrestricted access to WIC Hub systems or member information.
Members must follow these Terms when participating in regional communities.
7. Messaging and Member-to-Member Contact
WIC Hub may allow members to communicate directly with one another.
Messaging facilities must not be used for harassment, spam, inappropriate solicitation or other prohibited conduct.
Members are responsible for their own communications and for deciding what information they share with other members.
If you receive inappropriate communications through WIC Hub, please contact us.
8. Mentorship
WIC Hub may provide tools that help members identify potential mentors and mentees.
Member profiles, preferences and search tools are intended to facilitate introductions and professional connections.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, WIC Hub does not employ, vet, supervise or guarantee individual mentors or mentees and does not guarantee the outcome of any mentorship relationship.
Members are responsible for deciding whether a particular connection or mentorship arrangement is appropriate for them.
9. Events
WIC Hub may promote or organise in-person and online events.
Specific events may be subject to additional booking terms, eligibility requirements, charges, venue rules or cancellation arrangements.
Where additional terms apply, these will be communicated as part of the relevant event information or booking process.
10. Resources and Information
WIC Hub may provide articles, guides, resources, event information and other professional content.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, this information is provided for general information and professional development purposes.
It should not be treated as legal, financial, health and safety, employment or other regulated professional advice.
You should obtain appropriate specialist advice where required.
11. Partners and Member Benefits
WIC Hub may introduce members to third-party partners, offers, services or benefits.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, third-party products and services are supplied by the relevant third party and not by WIC Hub.
Any contract you enter into with a third-party provider is between you and that provider.
WIC Hub does not guarantee the continued availability of any particular partner benefit or offer.
12. Content You Share
You retain ownership of content you create and share through WIC Hub.
By publishing content in areas intended to be shared with other users, you give WIC Hub permission to display and process that content as reasonably necessary to operate the relevant service.
You must have the necessary rights or permissions to share any content you upload or publish.
We may remove content where we reasonably believe it breaches these Terms, infringes another person's rights, creates a safety or security concern, or is otherwise inappropriate for the WIC Hub community.
13. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the WIC Hub website, branding, design, text, graphics and other materials provided by WIC Hub are owned by or licensed to the organisation operating WIC Hub.
You may use these materials for your own personal and professional use of the service.
You must not reproduce, sell, commercially exploit or falsely represent WIC Hub materials as your own without appropriate permission.
14. Suspension and Removal of Access
We may restrict, suspend or terminate access to WIC Hub where reasonably necessary, including where:
- these Terms or applicable Membership Terms have been seriously or repeatedly breached;
- another member's safety or privacy may be at risk;
- an account is being used fraudulently or unlawfully;
- membership has ended and the relevant feature requires an active membership; or
- action is reasonably necessary to protect WIC Hub, its systems or its community.
Where appropriate, we will seek to act proportionately to the circumstances.
Termination of access does not automatically create an entitlement to a membership refund. Refund and cancellation arrangements are governed by the applicable Membership Terms & Conditions and consumer law.
15. Availability of WIC Hub
We aim to keep WIC Hub available and functioning reliably, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
Access may occasionally be affected by maintenance, technical problems, security work or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
We may update or change the platform as the service develops.
16. Third-Party Websites
WIC Hub may contain links to third-party websites and services.
We are not responsible for the content, availability or practices of third-party websites. A link from WIC Hub does not necessarily constitute an endorsement.
17. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer law.
To the extent permitted by law, WIC Hub is not responsible for losses resulting from matters outside our reasonable control or from reliance on information, relationships or services provided independently by other members or third parties.
Nothing in these Terms affects any statutory rights you may have as a consumer.

Our collection and use of personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
Where cookies and similar technologies are used, further information will be provided in our Cookie Policy.
19. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example where WIC Hub services change or legal requirements develop.
The latest version will be published on the WIC Hub website and the date at the top of this page will be updated.
Where a material change significantly affects members, we may also provide additional notice where appropriate.
20. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights you may have under applicable consumer law.
