Women in Construction Hub (“WIC Hub”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is a membership and community platform supporting women working in and around the construction industry.

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, WIC Hub is currently treated as being operated by EDI IN COMMUNITY INTEREST COMPANY.

2. Membership and Payments

WIC Hub offers paid memberships, including monthly and annual membership options.

Membership information is managed through our website. Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers, including Stripe.

Payment providers process payment information in accordance with their own privacy policies and security requirements. WIC Hub does not need to store your complete payment-card details in order to administer your membership.

We may retain information relating to your membership transactions, payment status and orders where necessary for membership administration, accounting, fraud prevention and legal or regulatory obligations.

3. Member Profiles and Community Features

WIC Hub is designed as a professional membership community. If you create a member profile, certain information you provide may be visible to other authorised members of the community.

This may include information such as your name, profile information, region, professional role, experience level, specialisms and mentorship preferences.

You should only include information in your profile or community activity that you are comfortable sharing with other members who are permitted to access those areas.

WIC Hub also provides community features such as regional groups and member-to-member messaging.

Private messages are intended for the participants in those conversations. However, information may need to be accessed where reasonably necessary for technical support, security, safeguarding, investigation of reported misuse, compliance with law, or enforcement of our terms and community standards.

4. Regional Membership

WIC Hub operates through regional communities.

We use information about your membership and selected region or regions to provide access to the appropriate regional community features and to administer your membership.

Relevant regional organisers or Chairs may receive information necessary to support and welcome members within their region. For example, a regional Chair may be notified when a new member joins their regional Hub and may be provided with information necessary to identify or contact that member through WIC Hub.

  • create and administer your WIC Hub account;

  • provide and manage your membership;

  • process and record membership payments;

  • provide access to the appropriate regional Hub or Hubs;

  • operate member profiles, community groups, messaging and mentorship features;

  • administer events and other WIC Hub activities;

  • respond to enquiries and provide support;

  • send important service and membership communications;

  • send onboarding and welcome communications;

  • maintain the security and proper operation of the website;

Unsubscribing from marketing communications will not prevent us from sending essential service or transactional communications relating to your account or membership.
